Research Engineer in Image Processing
The Software Technology and Applications Competence Centre (STACC) is an R&D organisation that conducts leading-edge applied research in areas with potential for commercial impact. The centre currently gathers around 30 researchers and research engineers who work across six projects sponsored by a network of ten industry partners.
STACC is currently seeking applications for a Research Engineer position. The ideal candidate will be familiar with methods for image processing, such as image differencing and pattern recognition. Strong programming skills using a variety of languages is essential, while experience in Web application development is desirable.
The successful candidate will work in a project that aims at developing and applying scalable techniques to compare screenshots of Web browsers in order to automatically identify defects in Web applications.
The salary will be highly competitive. The starting date is negotiable.
